What is AGS Photo Art's photography style & philosophy?

My work is set apart from the industry standard because I offer a fine art degree background and a robust portfolio of work. I have over 15 years of experience photographing hundreds of couples from small intimate proposals on the coast to elaborate proposals in a museum in San Francisco.

What sets you apart From Other Photographers?

After photographing over 300 couples, you would think that proposals would start to seem repetitive; that’s not the case. Every proposal I’ve had the privilege to photograph has been completely different because each couple offers something unique to their special day. Proposals have a special place in my heart because they’re usually just a couple that wants to get away and share an intimate moment together.

My photography style is timeless, organic, and in the moment. Instead of posing my couples, I direct them. What does that mean? My gentle suggestions paired with your magic bottled in an epic photography session. By creating stress-free, relaxed, and fun environments, my couples feel completely comfortable in front of the camera. I use a photojournalistic approach to my photography that evokes images with a completely natural feel; I capture your unique personality and connection whatever that may look like. 

Do you make a Proposal timeline?

Yes! Even though our time might be short and sweet, I want to help you build a timeline so we can capture as much as possible during your proposal.

Will we get featured in a magazine or blog?

Although some of our proposals do get featured, this is not something that is guaranteed. Most publishers are interested in colorful, uniquely curated designed weddings not proposals! Some blogs require exclusivity and hold images until they've decided. 

Do you photograph Multiple locations for proposals?

Of course! AGS Photo Art offers multiple proposal photography packages. You can customize if you'd like to propose in one destination and then go explore another location in full engagement bliss! It's completely up to you and the proposal experience you want to have. For Big Sur I highly recommend 2 locations!

Do you Know Big Sur Locations?

Yes! That is one of the benefits of hiring a local photographer. I've scouted for many hours to find the best locations, and I understand the light and fog in this area. Most out of town photographers don't know what they're getting themselves into!

Do I have to order prints through you?

I highly recommend ordering prints through our professional vendors, but it is not required. The difference in quality is huge when it comes to ordering through a professional lab, so I encourage clients to let us help with prints!

What equipment do you use?

I use all of the latest canon equipment. I always carry 2-5D Mark IV's, a library of professional lenses and lighting equipment *this sets me apart! All of my gear has a backup in the rare event that anything should happen to one of my pieces. I also carry my film camera and lots and lots of film!
